About Us

In 2016 Gina and Sheila got a wild idea...what if we ran a "Community Supported Soap" program for our friends and neighbors? Much like the Community Supported Agriculture farm shares, or CSA's, our "CSS" offers 5 Pacific Northwest and seasonally themed soap bars 4 times a year on the solstices and equinoxes.

It is our joy to create these miniature works of art, insprired by the natural world, our shared love of humanity, good vibes and good times!

10 years later, we have grown to offer our products in local storefronts and small businesses, too! Big shout out to:

Batdorf & Bronson Legacy Cafe Olympia, WA

Gull Harbor Mercantile, Olympia, WA

Indoor Sun Shoppe, Seattle, WA

Olympia Refills, Olympia, WA

You can get your CSS shares  or an Annual CSS Subscription with a convenient pick up box in NE Olympia or delivered locally for a small fee. Shipping is available, too!

When we say "community supported", we truly mean it. Friends often pitch in, from stirring the batch, cutting and stamping the bars, to adhering  labels. It's always a good time catching up while together we are "gettin 'er done!"

Community connections and "collabs" in cooperation with:

• Local author, Anthea Sharp

• Local yoga teacher and small business owner, Kristen Rubis of "My Body, My Power".

All Natural Body Care

Essential Oils

Nourish yourself from the outside in! Our unique blends of essential oils can invigorate or soothe you, depending on your mood and needs!

We use 100% plant-derived extracts free from artificial fragrances and lab-created synthetic chemicals that can contain unlisted or potentially irritating ingredients.

Why essential oils?

• positively influence mood, reduce stress, or aid sleep through aromatherapy

• extracted directly from plants, leaves, bark, or seeds through steam distillation or cold pressing, offering a non-toxic alternative to artificial ingredients

•You know exactly what you are getting, avoiding synthetic fixatives like phthalates that are commonly used in artificial fragrances

(Note: While essential oils are natural, they can be highly potent and may cause skin sensitivities in some individuals.)

Minerals and Botanicals

Our colorants—such as clays, plant powders, and micas—are healthier and more sustainable because they avoid petroleum-derived synthetic dyes, heavy metals, and toxins. These natural ingredients break down safely in waterways and provide your skin with soothing, nutrient-rich care.

Why minerals and botanicals?

•Artificial dyes used in conventional soaps often contain harsh coal-tar or petroleum derivatives that strip the skin's moisture barrier and can act as potential irritants or allergens.

•Many botanical colorants (like spirulina, turmeric, and cinnamon) retain their natural vitamins, amino acids, and antioxidants. Clays (such as kaolin or bentonite) not only impart color but also gently draw out impurities and soothe inflammation

•Unlike synthetic pigments, plant powders and natural clays readily break down into non-toxic, organic matter that will not disrupt fragile aquatic ecosystems.

• Botanical colorants are frequently sourced from agricultural byproducts, roots, and leaves, resulting in a much lower carbon footprint than petroleum-based dyes, which are resource-heavy to refine and process.

Palm-Oil Free

Did you know the harvesting of palm oil is devastating Orangutang habitat and tropical rainforests?  Huge swaths of Southeastern Asia's diverse jungle are cut down and replaced with monoculture.  It is currently the main thing threatening the extinction of the Orangutang, as well as many other species of animals.

At Celestial Solstice Soaps, we believe that although palm may be a cheaper product, that this environmental impact does not align with our commitment to the environment.
